H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court, received today at Qasr Al Watan, Hu Chunhua, Vice Premier of the People’s Republic of China, who is currently visiting the UAE.
H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed the ChineseVice Premier and his accompanying delegation, stressing the keenness of the UAE’s wise leadership, headed by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to develop the historical relations between their countries.
He also said that he is looking forward to expanding UAE-China cooperation, through their comprehensive strategic partnership, which is built around their common goals of furthering stability and sustainable development and ensuring continued growth and prosperity for their peoples.
Hu first asked H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan to convey cordial greetings from Chinese President Xi Jinping to UAE President HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, before briefing him on the great achievements and far-reaching significance of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.
Since the beginning of this year, Presidents of UAE and China have met with each other and talked over the phone, reaching broad consensus on deepening all-round cooperation between the two countries, he said.
The first China-Arab States Summit and the China-Gulf Cooperation Council Summit were successfully held, achieving fruitful results, Hu said.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology; Khaldoun Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority, and Member of Abu Dhabi Executive Council; Abdullah bin Sultan bin Awad Al Nuaimi, Minister of Justice; and Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of State.
Attending from the Chinese side were Zhang Yiming, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the UAE; Guo Wei, Deputy Secretary-General of the Chinese State Council, and Wu Jianghao, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of China.
