Pakistan Business Council Dubai has elected its Board of Directors for the period 2025-2023. In this regard, a press conference was held at the office of Hemani General Trading in Dubai in which the new board of directors was announced. Chairman of the Election Monitoring Committee Mir Waqas Elahi has announced the decision, on this occasion the member of the Election Monitoring Committee, Barrister Ali Raees Qureshi was also present.
He said that after the approval of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Board of Directors has elected 7 members for the next 2-year term, for which all the members were informed to submit their nomination papers as per the rules. The meeting of the Election Monitoring Committee was held on 16 December 2022, from which 11 nomination papers were received, which were reviewed and all of them were found to be correct, however, 4 candidates withdrew their nomination papers, leaving only 7 candidates in the field for the competition. All of them were elected unopposed, whose names are Ijaz Ahmed (Shafi Brothers & Company), Muhammad Iqbal Dawood (Abu Musa Motors), Muhammad Nafees (I Consultant Management Services DMCC), Muhammad Saleem Tabani (Ali Junaid Trading LLC). Mohammad Nafees said that we are helping Pakistani exporters in search of new markets. Some time ago, an exhibition was organized in Iraq, which was well received. More such exhibitions will be organized in the future. It is our effort to provide maximum facilities to Pakistani businesses. Any Pakistani entrepreneur can get membership by paying a fee of Dh1500. He said that in the future, Pakistan Business Council will form groups consisting of different sectors, which will be able to pay full attention to their respective fields. In the press conference, the directors said that soon a meeting will be held with Pakistan Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi.
